If you haven't been out to Centennial Terrace during 2009, you are missing out on a real treat.  The Johnny Knorr Orchestra was honored to be a part of the Grand Pre-Opening Celebration on June 23, 2009.  The Board of Directors for the Sylvania Area Joint Recreation District debuted the new and impressive Centennial Terrace remodeling on a wonderful night filled with music, food and fun.

The band took the stage to welcome in the changes as a result of a $1.9 million renovation.  Included in those changes are a new, much larger stage and band shell; a new 10,000 square foot "polished concrete" dance floor and a new restroom and concession building.  The terrazzo dancing surface is one of the largest outdoor dance floors in the United States.

After hearing from local dignataries and those involved in the remodeling, the dance floor was open as everyone took in the new sights and enjoyed an evening of great music.

As always, the Johnny Knorr Orchestra featured a full slate of Centennial Terrace appearances throughout the summer!
